What were you like at school?

I enjoyed the subjects that allowed me to use my imagination – Art, Music, English. I was probably a bit of a daydreamer and obsessed with skateboarding but I enjoyed school and what I got out of it.

What inspires you about the Super Power Agency?

I think it is a massively important cause that has the potential to spread a vast amount of knowledge and creativity. Having grown up in Leith I am excited to know it will have a place like this for young people to develop their reading and writing skills and use their imagination!

What’s your favourite thing about Edinburgh?

Favourite things about Edinburgh are the people and the landscape. I have met a lot of inspiring characters growing up here, some of which went on to inform my work for various projects. I like being able to go up Arthur’s Seat or Calton Hill and absorb the view, feeling like I’ve got out of the city without really leaving it.

If you could only take one book to a desert island with you, what would it be?

Tough choice, but I would base the decision on what books I have re-read and enjoyed more with each time – Tortilla Flat by John Steinbeck, or maybe Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut.
